What a busy time of year! I love the beginning of the school year and seeing how excited all of the kiddos are! We are lucky to meet our students and parents before the first day at a meet and greet. It is so much fun to see them all, and they are probably the quiestest they will be all year! At meet and greet, I handed out bubbles to the students as a welcome gift. Ravenous Rocks and Munchable Minerals Coming Soon!

I'm so excited to share with you one of our newest units. Our students love science and they LOVE food, so we decided to combine the two to create our Rocks and Minerals pack. This pack includes vocabulary posters, a rock craft, literacy connections, and ways to make the three different types of rocks with food! It includes great lessons and activities to supplement your science unit. It will be available in our TPT store shortly and we will have a freebie from the pack posted here, so be sure to check back!

Welcome to Learning Junction Depot! We are new to the blogging world and are excited to begin sharing our lessons and ideas with you! There have been so many wonderful people sharing their ideas and plans that we thought we would try to give back! We have over ten years of combined teaching experience and have taught a variety of grades. The past few years we have been lucky to be teaching third grade together. Our passion truly resides in this grade. The age of our students is so much fun and they love to learn! We enjoy making lessons and activities that will keep our students engaged as well as being rigorous. We hope our blog will give you ideas and even help you save some time in your own classrooms. Our goal is to post pictures of our classrooms and the work our students are completing at least once a week, hopefully more!
